Being a Scout Team Leader is more than a role – it’s an opportunity to shape the culture, energy and direction of a thriving team. As we expand our Scout provision in Prestbury, we’re looking for passionate, practical and proudly inclusive people to help create life-changing experiences for young people and their families.
Scouts think big. They challenge themselves, push their limits and look for adventure at every opportunity. As a Team Leader, you’ll guide and support them as they work towards a wide range of exciting badges and awards – from outdoor survival and pioneering to creative arts, technology and leadership skills. Every week brings a new challenge and a new achievement to celebrate.
Our Scout section is built on teamwork. There may be more than one Team Leader sharing responsibilities, supported by Section Team Members and helpers who bring their own strengths and expertise. Whether someone’s organising camp logistics, leading a specialist activity, managing resources or supporting programme planning, it’s all about working together to deliver incredible experiences.
It’s energetic. It’s rewarding. It can be demanding at times – but it’s always worth it. You’ll leave sessions feeling proud, inspired and motivated, knowing you’re helping young people develop confidence, resilience and skills for life.
No two weeks are the same in Scouts. One evening you might be teaching outdoor cooking or navigation; the next you could be planning an expedition, building large-scale pioneering projects or supporting a community initiative. You’ll help shape future leaders, problem-solvers, innovators and changemakers – and they’ll remember the guidance and encouragement you gave them.
