Then we’d love you to join our Scout Group leadership team!
We’re on the lookout for a Deputy Group Lead Volunteer to support our brilliant Group Lead in running and growing our Scout Group. This is a people-focused role where you’ll help make sure volunteers feel valued, trained, and able to do their best.
What you’ll be doing
You won’t be doing this alone — you’ll be working alongside the Group Lead to:
- 👋 Welcome new volunteers and help them settle in
- 📋 Keep an eye on training and compliance so everyone stays safe and supported
- 🌱 Help develop and grow the team as the group continues to thrive
- 🤝 Be a friendly point of contact for volunteers who need support, advice or just a chat
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to have been in Scouts before — just bring enthusiasm, kindness and a willingness to help. You might be great for this role if you:
- Enjoy working with people
- Like being organised (or at least trying to be!)
- Are happy supporting others rather than being in the spotlight
- Want to make a real difference in your local community
